Abstract

Literary education should adapt to the new challenges presented by the contemporary media paradigm. The culture created and broadcasted by the mass media makes a complex text net, where every text relates among the other texts to conform new meanings and lend the reader to acquire new levels of artistic and literary pleasure. Because of that, the reader’s intertext becomes, even more, the fundamental piece for the acquisition of a reading competence that allows reading any text in any form that it is presented.
