Adherence of hypertensive women to healthy lifestyle - an educational technology in health

Participant research that analyzed the adherence of hypertensive women to the healthy lifestyle with the application of a Health Technology based on the Theory of Change, with fourteen hypertensive women in the age group of 37 to 66 years. Data were collected through interviews. Previous knowledge about a healthy lifestyle consisted mainly of: abstaining from tobacco; Stress management; Regular use of the medication; Regular physical exercise; And proper use of salt. Regarding adherence to the control lines of systemic arterial hypertension (SAH), they reported: adequate salt use, alcohol and tobacco abstention. The application of the Technology in Health made possible the adhesion of the women to the conducts of control of the SAH. After one month of the TS application, we verified the continuity of the change process in the majority of the group. Thus, TS proved effective for adopting a healthy lifestyle..
