UN TRABAJO DE INVESTIGACIÓN SOBRE ESTRÉS Y BURNOUT EN EL PROFESORADO UNIVERSITARIO

Abstract

This paper we offer a summary of the doctoral thesis entitled: "Burnout" or psychological wear and tear, and how university teaching staff cope with stress. lt won the first prize of the MECD-CIDE National Award for doctoral theses in 1999. The work is structured into the following chapters: Justification, Theoretical Framework, Material and Method, Analysis of Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and Proposals for intervention. We here describe briefly the instruments used, the sample, the statistical analyses, and the intervention proposal, and, in greater detail, the conclusions that are to be drawn.
