In this article we intend to analyse from a theoretical angle, the scientific fundamentals which endorse the idea of the necessity f or a vocational orientation, which contributes to the elimination of sexist stereotypes both in the choice of career and in the subsequent decisions which people take throughout their professional life. We examine the concept of stereotypes and vocational conduct, as well as those elements which condition the taking of decisions and shape vocational orientation such as the family, the media and education, in order to analyse them from a perspective which establishes its proposals within the presuppositions of the feminist theory, putting forward a non-androcentric vision of reality based on equality and respect for difference. In the conclusions we defend the vocational orientation of Secondary School pupils from equality and non-discrimination.
