Abstract

With the implementation of the Brazilian National Health System (SUS), the process of changing  practices, wich includes nursing in health services becomes essential, and the construction of care systematization also requires changes, being necessary the continuing professional formation. This paper aims to analyze the training of Primary Health Care nurses to perform the Systematization of Nursing Care (SNC) in the Family Health Strategy. The qualitative approach was adopted, with data being collected through a semi-structured interview with 19 nurses. The analysis of the data was performed by content analysis, thematic modality. It was observed that professionals use several references in order to systematize nursing care, having their initial and continuous training contributed to this situation. The lack of guidelines definitions for the accomplishment of this systematization, both in the academy and in the health services, influenced the researched scenario. It’s possible to suggest that educational institutions could approach this practice in a contextualized and articulated way according to the integral care guideline.
