Abstract

The seventies mean a decisive time for Special Education and therefore to education in general. Over those years, thanks to the promulgation of the LGE (19 70), the greatest educational innovation in the whole Education History took place: handicapped children, who had never been thought to be taught are going to enter school, either in special class rooms in ordinary centers, or in Specific Centers, born under the law. Statistics arising from this, un precedented fact, relating to Extremadura, and its analysis, is what we intend to expose on the following pages.
