How can we focus the learning-teaching process for students that have homogeneous motivation, abilities, and performance? This question is permanently hanging over in any education Centre. In fact, concern with diversity is one of the main challenges facing teachers. teachers which put into practice a new method of cooperative learning called "learning Mathematics in cooperative teams" (LM.C.T.) during a whole academic year. This research brought about a thesis presented in the Universidad de Extremadura in March 2001 entitled "Cooperative /earning. A proposal to deal with diversity in the area of Mathematics in Compulsory Secondary Education ".
