The education sector, like other sectors, faces difficulties in carrying out its teaching activities using a model, due to the imposition of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a strategy, the different higher education institutions in Mozambique had to adopt blended learning, which consists of searching for and introducing communication technologies that make it easier for teachers and students to teach online. The research aimed to: Understand the use of the electronic platform of the Learning System in Higher Education Institutions in Mozambique. The study had the participation of fifty (50) participants, of which 40 students, including twenty (20) males and an equal number of females. In addition to the students, 10 professors took part in the research. The research had a starting question: What are the difficulties you have faced when using the electronic platform of the University's learning system? The conduction of the research was supported by the qualitative method and aided by the semi-structured interview and direct observation as a technique and instruments for data collection. Data processing and analysis were carried out using the following programs: Microsoft Office Excel 2010 and the statistical package Statistical Program for the Social Sciences (SPSS) Version 22.0. The research results allowed us to conclude that the institutions under analysis use different electronic platforms as a teaching strategy. However, there are difficulties in handling it. As a suggestion, we believe that institutions should develop awareness and training seminars for teachers and students to accept this model.
