Abstract

This is a descriptive cross-sectional study that was conducted with 200 college students from a physical education course. The aim of this study was to identify the sources of information most used by students in relation to health and sexuality.  For data collection, a self-administered and anonymous questionnaire was used. The data were treated by descriptive statistics, using the program Excel 2010. As a result, it was verified that the internet was the most used source for the participants, followed by friends, media and health centers. Although students have accessibility to many sources, information is not always secure and may compromise their life trajectories. It is necessary to increase investments in sex education in higher education and to intensify actions that favor the prevention of diseases and the promotion of health
