The aim of this study, which was carried out in class of nursery school students aged three and four in Cáceres, is to describe the experience of introducing the pupils to reading and writing through games. The study starts with 15 pupils who start school at the age of three, and describes the strategies and activities are carried out during the first academic year and continues the next year, when the children are four. Finally, the achievement of the pupils in reading and writing, the opinion of the parents' experience with their children are evaluated and the final conclusions are discussed.
