This work aims to reflect the continuing education of teachers mediated by technologies in municipalities in Piauí in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Theoretically based on Nóvoa (2020; 2017), Nóvoa and Alvim (2021), (1990), Freire (1996), Josso (2004) and others that deal with teacher training. The descriptive autobiographical narrative study reports the experience of two teacher educators, based on research-education, using as a technique the interpretive analysis of the formation narratives. Teacher trainers had to appropriate new skills, equipment and other skills, which in the virtual environment have become essential in view of the peculiarities that differ from the face-to-face environment. We conclude that the work of training in times of pandemic made possible situations of self (trans)formation, as education professionals had to reinvent themselves, overcoming bureaucratic, financial, political, conceptual and management struggles, which constituted impediments to the success of continuing education.
