Abstract

T

The present research aimed to map how the learning loss due to school closures during the COVID-19 pandemic is being discussed in the literature. This is a bibliographic research of the literature review type, in which a mapping was carried out in the CAPES Periodicals Portal. Ten studies were initially found. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 7 studies were selected to compose the analysis corpus. The results revealed that the closing of schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted everyone's lives. Loss of learning had previously been correlated with natural disasters, climate issues and school holidays. The surveys brought data that go beyond the walls of the school, with situations of unemployment, food insecurity, domestic violence and sexual abuse. Furthermore, it is understood that it is substantial that new research and studies are carried out to expand knowledge on this topic.
